It's Friday night and I am loving being apart of this activity - Five minute Friday.
Perhaps it just self denial, a desire to hide my head in the sand. Or it' simply the refusal to believe the truth, surely I am better than that, surely I am not like that. Somehow the falsehood that is created, creeps up and overwhelms one's sensibilities.
The image or picture of ourself that is created seems so real, yet is so false when one starts to peel away the layers. The saying goes that the truth shall set you free, perhaps life is less complicated, less contrived when we aim to live not with masks that hide our true selves
