I've been really making an effort to teach little man manners. I guess it's part of my own upbringing of being taught to be courteous from a young age.
Today I was on handover to our nanny as i usually have a meeting with the architect and builder on thursday mornings. Anyway, little man usually exhibits some anxiety of me leaving him with our nanny - just because he can.
When he hears her coming, he usually runs in the opposite direction and today was no different.
He knows that he's suppose to say hello to her, and instead calls out telling her to "GO AWAY!" To which my response was - "where's your manners?" his replies - "PLEASE go away!" what a cracker...
so that's what teaching manners does....
I can't help but smile. At least he said "please" :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your nanny understands that your little man prefers his mummy. Anyone would. x
LOL! That's just too cute! But hey, at least you got him to remember his manners.
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a real cutie patootie :)
Naw, that's so funny! I imagine it would have been hard to keep a straight face to that! I will be trying mt hardest to make sure my daughter learns good manners, I think it's one of the most important things you can have and am seriously surprised by the lack of manners I so often see these days, especially from kids.
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely hard not to break out laughing. We did that out of earshot.
ReplyDeleteOur lovely nanny definitely understands that he prefers us when we are around, and he does love his nanny too!
